Mea & John: Nerdy Engagement Photographer in Philadelphia, PA

I was so excited when Mea reached out to talk about her wedding & engagement photos. She originally found me through Instagram; I noticed she had followed me one day and I was hoping she’d reach out. When she did, we hit it off right away!

Mea & her fiance, John met in high school. Their first date was to the movies and the arcade (in true nerd fashion; arcades are a great first date location)! I am a huge fan of all of these first date stories; they are so cute!

John proposed last year and Mea said yes! They both are lovers of Marvel, movies, and have their preferred sports teams too (which you’ll see as we go through their session). You’re all here for the photos, so let’s jump in and celebrate Mea & John.

Mea chose Cherry Street Pier (permit needed) for their engagement session, and we braved the wind and drizzle for some really fun shots. Mea loves The Nightmare Before Christmas (and Tim Burton), so she went with matching tshirts inspired by the movie. I’m a huge Disney fan, so this is much appreciated and so cute!

We then switched our view and attire; Mea & John switched to their favorite sports teams and this shows you can love different teams, but still love each other.

We headed back inside as there was various murals and art in the Cherry Streer Pier interior area and the pops of color are so cool & fun, it all came together very well.

As we started to leave the pier, we found a nice view under the Ben Franklin Bridge, so we got a couple shots there.
